Description

Please join us for Associated Colleges of Illinois’ Wealth Advisors complimentary breakfast to be held Thursday, Dec. 6, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the University Club of Chicago, 76 East Monroe Street.

U.S. women will control $22 trillion of wealth by 2020 according to the Bank of Montreal’s Wealth Institute. A wealth management study found over 70 percent of women surveyed said they are “most dissatisfied” with the financial services industry over any other and, as a result, are less likely than men to have a financial advisor. Grim statistics? Yes, but in those statistics, there is opportunity.

Presenter Carolyn Leonard is the co-founder of DyMynd and DyMynd Angels, a Chicago-based financial empowerment firm. Carolyn, one of the first women to trade in the U.S., carved out a place for herself on the floor of the open outcry pits at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. Carolyn will tell her story of how she turned $250,000 of debt into a successful 21-year career. What she learned along the way about women, money and how to better engage with female clients through clarity, comfort and confidence. DyMynd’s notable clients include Northern Trust, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, and Bryn Mawr College.

The program will be introduced by Dr. Troy Hammond, president, North Central College, Naperville.

The breakfast is sponsored by Associated Colleges of Illinois which supports 25 colleges and universities, representing more than 70,000 students by advancing independent liberal arts and sciences education and helping underserved students succeed in college, career and life.
