Short bios of Speakers and Moderator:

Darren Gee

President and Chief Executive Officer of Peyto Exploration & Development Corporation

Mr. Gee joined Peyto in 2001 as the VP Engineering and succeeded Don Gray as President of Peyto Energy Trust in 2006. He assumed the role of CEO on Jan. 1, 2007. Mr Gee received a BSc in Mechanical Engineering in 1989 from the University of Alberta and worked as a Professional Engineer for Petro Canada, Anderson Exploration, Renaissance Energy and Husky in the past in various reservoir and exploitation engineering roles.

Tracy Robinson

Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Canadian Natural Gas Pipelines - TransCanada

Tracy Robinson has overall accountability for all commercial, business development, project, regulatory and operating functions for the Canada Gas business unit. This includes the NGTL system, the largest natural gas gathering and transportation system for the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB), and the Canadian Mainline, a historic pipeline that has transported supply from the WCSB across Canada to Ontario and Québec to deliver gas to downstream Canadian and U.S. markets for six decades.

In addition to her role as Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Canadian Natural Gas Pipelines, Tracy was appointed as a member of TransCanada’s Executive Leadership Team in November, 2017. Tracy joined TransCanada in 2014 as Vice-President, Transportation for the Liquid Pipelines business unit, before moving on to serve as Vice-President, Supply Chain in 2015. Prior to joining TransCanada, Tracy spent 27 years at Canadian Pacific, serving in executive roles spanning Operations, Finance and Commercial.

Susana Pierce

External Affairs Director - LNG Canada

Susannah Pierce is the External Affairs Director for LNG Canada – a joint venture between Shell Canada, PetroChina, KOGAS and Mitsubishi Corporation – where she is responsible for external affairs and integrating risk management for the LNG Canada project. Prior to her role with LNG Canada, Susannah served as Vice President, Value Chain Integration at Shell Canada.

Susannah has held a number of senior executive positions globally including as the Head of a Shell’s International Communications department comprising a team of approximately 200 professionals in Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Africa, Russia/CIS and Europe. Prior to this role she was also Head of Government Relations for Shell Canada and before joining Shell in 2009, was head of US Public Sector Affairs for TransCanada Pipelines based in Washington, DC and New York City. Susannah is also a Director on the boards of Gemini Corporation and the Board of GeoSciences B.C.

Dulles Wang

Americas Gas Research at Wood Mackenzie

Dulles works within Wood Mackenzie’s North America Gas Service with focused expertise in the Canadian natural gas market. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Dulles was a regulatory analyst for energy markets at the Alberta Securities Commission, providing primary oversight of the Natural Gas Exchange. Dulles’ previous industry experience include natural gas consulting with The Brattle Group, and fuels fundamental analysis and physical gas scheduling with NRG Energy. Before moving to Canada, Dulles worked as a program manager at Joint U.S.-China Collaboration on Clean Energy in Beijing, providing energy efficiency and clean energy trainings to Chinese mayors and senior executives from Chinese State-Owned Enterprises. Dulles holds a B.S. degree from Johns Hopkins University and dual M.S. degrees in Technology and Policy and Civil and Environmental Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

America's Editor - Natural Gas World

Dale has been covering the Canadian oil and gas industry for more than 35 years, starting out as an associate editor of Oilweek, Canada’s leading oil and gas news magazine, in 1981, as the industry was being pummelled by the hated National Energy Program. In 1984, he joined the staff of the Daily Oil Bulletin, the country’s leading daily oil and gas industry news service, serving in various editorial capacities, including associate editor. In 2000, he re-joined Oilweek, now a monthly publication, as news and statistics editor, before being named editor of the publication in 2007, a position he held for the next nine years.
