The first Monday Poets event of 2022/ season 28. One of the longest running programs at the Free Library of Philadelphia.

About this event

Ditta Baron Hoeber is an artist and a poet. Her poems have been published in a number of magazines including The American Journal of Poetry where her work was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, Juxtaprose, Pank, Burningword Literary Review, Noon, the American Poetry Review and The Midnight Oil. Her first book, Without You: A Poem And A Preface, is forthcoming in fall of 2022.

Hoeber’s photographs, drawings and book works have been exhibited throughout the United States and have been acquired by several collections including those at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the University of Pennsylvania Artist Book Collection, the Museum of Modern Art’s Franklin Furnace Artist Book Collection, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Swarthmore College and Chelsea College of Art & Design in London as well as in the Print and Picture collection at the Central Branch of the Free Library.

Sandra Evans Falconer is a writer, poet, performer and author of four collections of poetry, a muscial song cycle, a stage play and an original adaptation. For the past 25 years, Sandra has read her work to audiences throughout the Mid-Atlantic region at a number of venues. In addition to her readings, Sandra is also a 1999 recipient of an Individual Artist Award from the Maryland State Arts Council. Her poems have been adapted to music and to the stage, and were presented in the 2004 Page to Stage Festival at the JFK Center for the Performing Arts. In 2017, she was interview by the Maryland Poet Laureate for the acclaimed Poet and the Poem radio series at the Library of Congress.
