Description

"Yin" is a style of yoga focusing on one element or pose over a series of breaths that span a length of time, generally 2-3 minutes. In "Yin Yoga“, we will incorporate a series of poses designed to stretch connective & fascia tissue, lengthen muscles & ligaments, and increase mobility in your movements. The poses for this class will help ease tension, inflammation, and give every student the ability to find what pose alterations are needed using a variety of props and positions that accommodate your own unique yoga practice.

Benefits of Yin style yoga:

1. Anyone can do Yin Yoga - this is a great class for complete beginners or experienced yogis alike.

2. You give your body the ability to expand in the areas it needs mobility the most using time.

3. Reduces stress & anxiety.

4. Releases fascia.

5. Improves joint mobility.

6. Enhances your overall yoga abilities.


Tips for the best class experience: Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and perhaps bring a warmer layer if you chill easily. Feel free to bring your own bolster, yoga strap, towel, blanket, or block if you have them. Eye pillows for the final resting posture are also a nice treat to bring with.
