Event Details

Take a trip out to the Neil Smith Wildlife Refuge and capture the Monarch Butterfly on it's migration journey to Mexico. The park is host to a butterfly garden and will provide students with the different life cycles of the Monarch Butterfly. This workshop will provide transportation to the park, as well as cameras for each student to use. This workshop will start with a lecture of different skills used for outdoor and nature photography before being cut loose to practice what you have learned.

Meet your instructor Annick Sjobakken. Annick has been involved with Momentum workshops since the beginning and loves to share her passion with our students.  She has developed many quality workshops with participants. We hope to offer more spots in the future to make sure everyone can have an opportunity to work with her. Annick also teaches photography classes at the Ankeny DMACC campus.
