Nutrition education has different benefits, from kids making healthy food choices to improved academic performance.
The best way to teach kids about healthy eating is to get them in the kitchen to familiarize with the different foods, and cook healthy meals TOGETHER.
This course, developed in collaboration with a nutritionist, will help kids learn food safety basics, cooking skills, and how to assemble healthy meals and snacks in compliance withfood guidance systems like MyPlate and the Dietary Guidelines.
Fun and colorful activities will be used to teach kids how to safely store and cook food, recognize the food groups, and understand the importance of eating a variety of foods.
Children, who are very curious to learn about food, will acquire information and skills that will bring home, influencing the dietary pattern of the entire family.
