Our mission is to educate, encourage, and equip women for the most important job in the enitre world...parenting. Through practical, Biblically-based teaching on parenting and through supportive interaction in small groups led by experienced mothers, called "Titus 2" women after the Titus 2:4 model in the Bible, we wish to foster growth not only in our parenting skills, but in our wholeness as women...intellectually, relationally, and spiritually.
Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior...teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored. -Titus 2:3-5
A Typical Morning
First, we gather for a large-group lecture on a topic pertinent to our lives as moms. Linda Anderson, the founder of Mom to Mom, gives twelve "core curriculum" video lectures. The mother of three married adult children and grandmother too, Linda has a background as an educator and reading specialist. She's been taching parenting groups and Bible studies for almost tow decades and integrates much of her own life and reading into her Biblically-based teaching.
To supplement the core video lectures, we regularly welcome guest speakers - professionals, members of the community, and the church staff personnel - who address topics related to marriage, parenting, and our relationship with Christ.
The lecture is followed by a coffee break, after which we gather in small groups led by an experienced mother, to discuss the topic of the day and apply it to our own lives and families. The small groups provide a safe place to share the joys and trials of motherhoood and to explore the promises and purposes God gives us as women, wives, and mothers.
Homeschool moms have the opportunity to bring their 1st - 6th graders to a homeschool Biblical American History class and study hall each week.
Childcare is provided for preschool-aged children.
