MODULE C: Cultural Safety & Special Populations

Learn what it means to create a culturally safe experience for kids and the unique needs related to sexual orientation, gender identity & expression (SOGIE), commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), and the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).

Course hours will be from 10a-1p with sign-in beginning at 9:45pm.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

MFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, & LEPs: Casa Pacifica (Provider #: 016190) is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist to sponsor continuing education for LMFT's, LSCW's , LPCC's and LEP's.  Casa Pacifica maintains responsibility for the program and all its content (2 hours).

CAADE: Provider approved by the California Association for Alcohol and Drug Educators, Provider #; CP20 860 C 1120 for 2 contact hours.

CYC-P: This course meets the qualifications for 2 hours of continuing education credit for Child and Youth Care Professionals (CYC-P) as required by the Child and Youth Care Certification Board. Content domain: Developmental Practice Methods

GHAs: This course is PENDING approval by the California Department of Social Services for 2 hours of continuing education for administrator recertification.  Course Number(s): GH 2000166-730-2 (PENDING)

STRTP: This course is PENDING approval by the California Department of Social Service for 2 hours of continuing education for STRTP recertification.  Course Number: GH 166-0603-3080 (PENDING)

 

MODULE D: Self-Awareness & Personal Growth

Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families serves as a National Training Site for the LSCI Institute and maintains certified Senior Trainers on staff.

Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families is one of the largest providers of mental health services for children and families on California’s central coast. We serve over 430 families daily, many of whom have faced abuse and neglect, severe emotional disturbances, mental health challenges, multiple out-of-home placements, and a variety of other challenges.

Our campus and community services include: Emergency Shelter, Residential Treatment, Non-Public School, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Health Services Clinic, Therapeutic Behavioral Services/Intensive Behavioral Services, Wraparound, and Emergency Crisis Response.
