What are the advantages of attending?

Attendees will experience and interact with live professionals; become familiar with current issues and best practices in health, education and family engagement; receive information on available resources; get ideas to share with other parents; network and interact with individuals who share the belief that healthy kids make better learners.

How will schools & organizations benefit from sending parents?

Parents, parent advisors or liaisons, service providers, and educators who attend the workshops will learn strategies that they can use to increase student achievement through focusing on the whole child, as well as improving family engagement. The information provided will highlight the fact that schools are resources for both parents and children. It will also reinforce the precept that a healthy child is a healthy student. The skills acquired at the conference will help to provide a strong foundation to help attendees become informed catalysts for improving the lives of children by conveying the message that family engagement and health are integral components of student success.
