Workshop leader: Tracey Sandoval (email@example.com)
Registration is for all three sessions: January 17th, 24th, and 31st, 2017
6:30pm – 8:30pm
Step away from the fast-paced world and discover the art of modern calligraphy, where writing is slow and beautiful, and snail mail is king. Learn from an intermediate lettering artist in a small group workshop designed for beginning enthusiasts, in a relaxed and comfortable setting. We will be working within the Copperplate style, but you will also be encouraged to create and embrace your own personal style. We’ll probably also share some laughs and most likely a cookie or two! Or five. No judgment here.
At the end of each session you’ll be ready to head home and practice your new obsession. Each participant will be provided a high-quality beginning calligraphy supply kit. The kit includes:
1 penholder: General's Wooden Penholder with Cork Grip #204B
2 nibs: Nikko G and a Blue Pumpkin (nickname for the Brause 361)
1 bottle of black ink: Higgins Eternal Ink
1 black marker for brush lettering: Tombow Dual Brush Pen
1 pad of paper: Rhodia Classic Notepad
As well as various practice drill and guide sheets
SPECIAL INTRODUCTORY RATE:
This workshop is $45 (normally $60) plus a $20 materials fee.
