Models for Liberia
Event Information
Description
Models for Liberia is a campaign where models not only participate in three outdoor photoshoots, they also have a chance to take a stand for those that need it most in Liberia. Liberia is the 4th poorest country in the world that has suffered great loss and devastation. Models will have a fun day shooting outdoors, working with professionals in the industry to perfect their individual and group posing. 100% of proceeds go toward suicide prevention in Liberia. According to Front Page Africa over one million Liberians suffer from depression (out of a total population of 4.5 million) due to the ebola crisis and lack of post war counseling. Depression is the leading cause to suicide. Live Out Loud Charity is working in Liberia to educate individuals on the signs of depression and how to do an intervention. This summer LOLC plans to return to Liberia. Models partcipating in this shoot will help facilitate change on a global level, while participating in an international hope campaign, and lastly they will receive outstanding photos. This event is held July 8th, 2017 in Chicago with all day photoshoots.
