Model View Culture Launch Party

Help us celebrate the inaugural edition of Model View Culture, an independent media platform covering technology, culture and diversity. Join us for an evening of conversation, light refreshments, live content, and open discussion with Model View Culture founders, authors and contributors.

The event will have ASL interpreting for both stage presentations and the social hour, sponsored by Linguabee.

Your ticket price goes directly to support future editions of Model View Culture and its authors. Tickets are on a sliding scale. If the cost is prohibitively expensive for any reason, please select a free scholarship ticket.

The event will include:

Exclusive readings from Kate Losse, author of The Boy Kings, and Chris Dancy, who will present unreleased work from an upcoming issue.

Fireside chat with Model View Culture authors on creating social justice media, content and critique within the tech industry, including writers Mattie Brice and Ashe Dryden.

Panel with contributors and activists on local social justice organizations. Panelists include Dr. Kortney Ziegler, founder of Trans*H4ck.

We'll also have Jarvis Sulcer from the Level Playing Field Institute, Liz Henry from Double Union and more.

Presentation on Model View Culture covering why and how it started, our goals and approach, and what comes next. Q&A with the founders, and a sneak peak at what comes next.

Informal social hour. Chat with Model View Culture founders, authors and readers and enjoy light appetizers, soft drinks, wine or beer.

7:30pm

Talks and panels. We’ll explore the ideas and themes from our first issue, go behind-the-scenes of how Model View Culture is developed, and offer a sneak peak at the next edition, coming out in early February.
