2019 Rotary Model United Nations

Banquet Dinner and Keynote Speaker

Saturday, April 6th, 2019, 6:00pm - 10:00pm.


This invitation is sent to Guests and Rotarians who wish to attend the Model United Nations Banquet Dinner, together with Students and Advisors participating in this year's Model UN weekend.

Please register here to confirm your dinner menu selection and make your payment. We must have an accurate headcount and menu selection list for the hotel by March 29th 2019.


Program

6:00 - 6:40pm : Check-in, get entree ticket, find your seats, appetizers

6:40 - 6:45pm : Welcome remarks and Invocation

6:45 - 8:00pm : Dinner is served

8:00 - 9:00pm : Keynote speaker*

9:00 - 10:00pm : Evening session


*Our Keynote speaker is Charles Chauvel, the Parliamentary Development Advisor at the United Nations Development Programme, assisting countries with meeting their SDGs and promoting inclusive political processes worldwide. He has a storied career as an employment lawyer and a former senior New Zealand Member of Parliament.



Banquet Dinner Menu options

A delicious, gourmet chef created menu for your dining pleasure. Please select one of the following when you register.


1) Braised Beef Short Ribs (Beef entree)

Cabernet Demi-Glace and topped with Fried Leeks. Accompanied by Duchess Potatoes and Roasted Carrots.


2) Chicken Papillote (Chicken entree)

Tender Chicken Breast with Fresh Herbs in Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce. Enveloped by Red Potatoes, Button Mushrooms, Carrots and Butternut Squash. Wrapped and Baked, and Served Au Jus in an Exquisite Parchment Parcel.


3) Pecan Crusted Fresh Mahi Mahi (Fish entree)

Adorned with a Silky Saffron Sauce and topped with Colorful Caramelized Onions. Served on top of a Potato Leek Roesti Cake. Roasted Asparagus.


4) Mushroom Moussaka (Vegetarian entree)

Roasted Greek Eggplant. Layered with a Rich Mushroom, Garlic, Red Wine and Parmesan Sauce. Topped with a White Cream Sauce, Bread Crumbs and Extra Parmesan Cheese.


5) Asian Noodle Stir Fry (Vegan and Gluten-free entree)

Sesame Rice Noodles pan fried with Assorted Asian Vegetables. Served over White Jasmine Rice and topped with Almonds. Accompanied with Peanut Sauce.


All Entrees come with the following:

Cucumber and Tomato Salad

Light Spring Salad Tossed with Quinoa and other Greens. Served with Lemon Vinaigrette.

and,

Chocolate Mousse and Berry Parfait

White Chocolate Mousse Layered over and under Dark Chocolate Mousse, with Assorted Fresh Berries in Martini Glass. Topped with Whipped Cream and Fanned Strawberry with a Pirouette Cookie.
