Event description

Description

We are constantly creating tension in our bodies whether we workout, run or sit on a couch.

We stand wrong, sit wrong, carry things wrong & pick up things wrong.

The best thing about this class is that, though targeting runners, everyone & anyone can benefit from it!

Join me for a one hour introduction on how you can help yourself alleviate tension, reduce pain, prevent injury, gain range of motion & increase flexibilty within your body.

We will use a variation of techniques with the use of rolling, smashing and breaking up scar tissue for self myofascial release.

We will focus on the lower body for runners (hips, glutes, legs, feet) as a class & then we can visit other areas that you may be dealing with indivdually.

Post class, we will enjoy brunch at The West End & we can discuss any questions you have or other areas of concern.

Price includes the Mobility Class ONLY (does not include brunch). Proceeds from the class will go directly to West End Running Club a 501c(3).

MATERIALS NEEDED:

- yoga mat (we will be on concrete)

- foam roller or rumble roller

- towel

- deep breaths

MATERIALS PROVIDED

- lacrosse balls

- The Stick & a Rumble Roller to feel the difference in tools

- water

Shelia Townsend will lead this class. She is a coach, personal trainer & avid runner. She is the President of West End Running Club & a coach with Redefining 40 & Over.
