The Early Morning Coffee tour begins on the south end of the Mobile Convention Center (side closest to the cruise terminal and Gulf Quest Museum). Free parking is provided for you adjacent to the Convention Center on Water Street at the foot of Government Street.
Guided walking tours last approximately 70 minutes with a 5 minute stop for complimentary coffee along the way. Be prepared to walk approximately 10 city blocks. There are plenty of rest stops along the way. In case of inclement weather, an indoor route will be provided with views of each site.
The tour begins with a stroll along the Mobile River then proceeds down Royal Street where you will have a chance to stop for refreshment in the social and economic heart of the nineteenth century urban port, the second largest exporter of cotton in the Antebellum Era. There you will experience first hand the streets and locations where America's Mardi Gras traditions originated.
Your tour should be relaxing, informative and interactive. For this reason, the number of participants is limited. Reserve a spot early or schedule your own private tour for any group of 5 or more. To schedule a private tour for your group of 5 or more, send an email to: email@example.com with number of adults and requested time.
*** Reservations and cancellations are both required at least 2 hours in advance. No charge for children under 8.
