Event description

Description

Are you signed up to volunteer this MLK day? Repair The World is seeking 10 volunteers to support the Police Atheltic League with running arts and crafts projects for students at their Harlem center! Volunteers will be facilitating art projects with colored pencils and crayons for about 40 kids.

The Police Athletic League (PAL) has a mission of supporting and inspiring New York City youth to realize their full individual potential as productive members of society. The PAL is New York City’s largest independent youth development not-for-profit organization. They operate diverse programs serving youth of all ages; from Pre-K and elementary school programs to college readiness and juvenile justice programs. One of PAL’s centers is located in the heart of Harlem and is a safe haven for young people year round. The Harlem Center offers opportunities for academic growth and recreation, arts and crafts, step, and dance.
