Event description

Description

As part of our MLK Week of Service, volunteer with us at the Community Kitchen and Pantry of West Harlem. The Community Kitchen and Pantry of West Harlem is an initiative of the Food Bank of New York City, with the mission of ending hunger by organizing food, information and support for community survival, empowerment, and dignity. The full-service soup kitchen and food pantry helps provide more than 100,000 free meals each month.

We will be serving food during the evening Community Meal at the Community Kitchen, which is open to any member of the Harlem community who is need of a hot meal. Closed toed shoes & shirts with sleeves are required for all projects, longer pants are recommended.

If you have any questions or want to learn more information, feel free to email Danna Creager at danna.creager@werepair.org.
