MLB All Star/ESPYs - Celebrating David Ortiz induction to the Hall of Fame

Dugout Ventures and Marucci Sports present a celebration for DAVID ORTIZ and his first ballot induction into the MLB Hall of Fame 2022 during the MLB All-Star week in Los Angeles benefiting 'Beauty 2 The Streetz'. Monday July 18, 2022 at Academy LA 9PM-2AM presented by Performance Kitchen, Boston Market, Budweiser, Bula and Steve Fowler Events.

We are excited to announce that MLB Dugout founding partner David Ortiz, AKA "Big Papi", has been elected on his first ballot into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.

This election marks the 58th time a player was inducted on their first ballot. In doing so, David joins the list marked with Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams, and Babe Ruth. David is the first solo selection from the BBWAA ballot since Red's shortstop and fellow Dugout Partner Barry Larkin in 2012.

Though he is the 58th first-ballot Hall of Famer -- and the 14th just since 2014 -- David, a native of the Dominican Republic, stands alone as the only "true" designated hitter to get into the Hall on his first try.

Dugout Ventures and Marucci Sports will be hosting its first annual All-Star party at the Academy in Los Angeles on the night of the T-Mobile Home Run derby (that David won in 2010) to commemorate this historic event.
