MIYAZAKI Feast by The Pig and the Lady
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Andrew Le, the award-winning chef and founder of The Pig and the Lady, was recently invited to Austin, TX to mount a MIYAZAKI Feast inspired pop-up dinner for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas (read more about the event here). His Asian and night market influenced 5-course dinner was served during a screening the venerable Hayao Miyazaki classic, SPIRITED AWAY, for 70 people. At the end of the meal and film, Chef Andrew was given a standing ovation.
The Pig and the Lady team documented the event via social media and there was a growing number of requests for Chef to serve that same menu in Honolulu. And with him now back in Honolulu, it seemed like a perfect time to do it!
Therefore, The Pig and the Lady will serve this menu in a very exclusive and intimate setting at R&D in Kaka'ako, over two consecutive nights. Seating is very limited. The dinner will consist of 5-courses and a screening of Miyazaki's SPIRITED AWAY.
