Event description
Here’s your chance to party under the Moon at the museum.

About this Event

Artist Luke Jerram’s epic Moon sculpture in the museum’s Glassell Hall will set the mood for this edition of Mixers and Elixirs, scheduled around the 50th anniversary of Neil and Buzz taking a walk on the lunar soil.

At an approximate 23 feet in diameter and an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each inch of the internally-lit spherical sculpture represents 42 feet of the moon’s surface.

Doors will open at 8 p.m. for the live band -- The Space Rockers – to get the party going. There will also be cash bars and the city’s best food trucks on site to keep you full and happy.

It’s the perfect party, where the science club meets the social set, and it happens each month from June through August. Hitting this scene is a sure sign of intelligence!

DJ Dame Hype will provide aural entertainment in the paleo hall.

Food Truck Lineup:

  • Dipped Dessert
  • Moon Rooster
  • Satellite Pizza
  • Foreign Policy
  • Luv Me Tenders
