Meet our Mixologists
Justin Dobbs & Grant Whittle
Grant--Effort-averse bon vivant and amateur alcohol enthusiast. Reasonable bridge player. Epicurean, small-stakes gambler, and lover of animals.
Justin Dobbs is a former ad-writing bartender and current bartending ad-writer from Memphis. He enjoys reading cat blogs and windsurfing.
Vincent Hale, Bari & Dodici & Josh Conley, Etowah Hunt Club
Josh Conley is an avid cocktailsman focusing on representing places and seasons in the glass through the use of obscure and often foraged ingredients. His ideas on thinking outside of the bottle have been presented at national farm to table conferences, and has earned publication across various mediums including Imbibe Magazine, Liquor.com, and numerous brand literatures.
Vincent Hale- Not long ago, you would find me only drinking wine or scotch. I first fell in love with the elevated cocktail scene while imbibing in my brother's hometown, in New York City. My appreciation for the culinary scene made it easy for me to quickly become enamored with the reinvisioned cocktail culture. Once I got back to Memphis, I immediately began developing my own style of crafting new aromas, textures and flavors. My goal, as a bartender, is to present guests with new and challenging sensory experiences while maintaining a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Colby Jones, Catherine & Mary's
Bartender, everything from sports bar to craft over the past 15 years. My true passion is craft bartending. My favorite form of bartending is the use of the interview process, where I ask my bar patrons what they are really feeling at the moment and being able to create the perfect cocktail for them on the fly with the many tools at my disposal at Cathrine & Mary's. This is what makes me feel like a true bartender, finding out what each individual wants and catering to that need.
Dan Price, Proper Cocktails
A booze enthusiast and culinary experimenter, Dan mixes classic cocktail methodology with imaginative ingredients to create unexpected, nuanced drinks. He is the owner of Proper, a craft cocktail consultancy.
Andrew Ratts & Matt Lexow & Luc Olsen
Matt: Born on the wind-swept plains of Kansas, Matthew migrated to Memphis in search of a hotter whisky, funkier soul, and lower rents. He found two of the three.
Luc: A transplant from the chimney of Pennsylvania, Luc makes drinks sing and people smile.
Cady Smith and Stephanie Waugh, Cafe Pontotoc
Cady and Stephanie are two Virgos that love the art and science of making cocktails. They both work at Cafe Pontotoc where they experiment daily. Stephanie is a mom of 2 and Cady is mom to her car Lil' Bit. Last year at Mix-Odyssey they won People's Choice Award and 2nd Place by the judges with their cocktail, The Can-Can.
Zoey Phelps-Bergeron & Kera Bergeron
