MIT 2016 Open House: Public Art Tour
Event Information
Description
At MIT, the campus is our museum. Join the MIT List Visual Arts Center to celebrate the centennial anniversary of MIT’s campus during Open House, a free day-long, campus-wide festival that gives visitors the opportunity to see firsthand the innovative, creative, and ground-breaking work taking place on MIT’s campus and beyond.
Join knowledgeable List Center staff for walking tours of MIT’s public art collection to explore artworks and learn about the history of art across the Institute. This tour will feature both favorite highlights and new additions to Percent-for-Art, including the recently unveiled sculpture by Antony Gormley, as well as other public works by artists Alexander Calder, Mark DiSuvero, and Sol LeWitt.
Tours begin at Killian Court.
