Description

Missouri Opioid Summit in St. Joseph

Missouri’s opioid crisis has reached epidemic proportions. St. Joseph is one of nine Missouri cities selected to host a half day summit bringing together state experts and local voices. Led by Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services director Randall Williams, M.D., this summit is an opportunity to discuss the best interventions moving forward while gathering feedback from community members most affected by this crisis. Leaders from a variety of sectors are contributing to the conversation: medical providers, the faith community, law enforcement, pharmacists, first responders, non-profit organizations, government, and others from Northwest Missouri.

Tenative Agenda:

7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Light breakfast, Networking & Summit Check-in

8:30 a.m. Welcome and Introductions

8:45 a.m. State of the State of Opioids

9:30 a.m. State of the State for Law Enforcement and Heroin/Opioids
