2013 December Yeager Road-Show - Mach 1 Initiative
Hosted by the Pine Belt Composite Squadron (SER-MS-072) in Hattiesburg, MS.
Senior Members & Cadets of the Mississippi Wing:
The Yeager Road-Show - Mach 1 Initiative is a program designed to increase the Mississippi Wing recipients of the Brigadier General Charles E. “Chuck” Yeager Aerospace Education Achievement Award and afford the opportunity for all Senior Members and Cadets the opportunity and resource to further their Aerospace Education. The goal for the Yeager Road-Show is 100% completion of Senior Members for the Yeager Award. The Yeager Road-Show is also offered to Cadets of the Mississippi Wing as another resource for them for their Aerospace Education training at all phases.
This is the second of nine planned Yeager Road-Show's that will continue into 2015. Each quarter the Yeager Road-Show will be hosted by a unit strategically located around the Mississippi Wing to maximize the effectiveness and outreach to the members of the Mississippi Wing. This Yeager Road-Show we are fortunate to have Pine Belt Composite Squadron (SER-MS-072) in Hattiesburg, MS
This Yeager Road-Show class will take place on 21 December 2013.
The class will take place at the Hattiesburg Fire Academy, 53 Academy Road, Hattiesburg, MS 395459.
This class is free to all participants; however there is a priority as to who can attend. Based upon seating availability, preference for attendance will be set as such:
- Senior Members who have not attempted the Yeager test,
- Phase III, IV, & V Cadets,
- Senior Members who wish to refresh their knowledge or Aerospace Education Officers at all levels, and
- Phase I & II Cadets.
Do not let the priority list deter as all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Deadline for registration is by Midnight on 19 December 2013.
Please register A.S.A.P.
The only requirement for class participants is to bring a personal laptop. All class materials will be provided at the start of class for you to use during the class and test.
The plan is to start promptly at 0900 hrs. I ask all in attendance to arrive earlier then the start time. Class will start earlier if all arrive earlier. During the course of instruction, there will be several breaks provided. Upon completion of the class, Senior Members will be able to get on their personal laptops and take the Yeager test on their eServices account. Total time with the class and test should have all participants done by 1500 hrs, if not sooner.
The Yeager Road-Show will be a great success for the entire Mississippi Wing with support from all Senior Members and Cadets of the Mississippi Wing. I look forward to a great turnout and seeing each of you over the course of the Yeager Road-Show - Mach 1 Initiative.
