Ready to build a more prosperous Mississippi? Come join hundreds of likeminded citizens at AFP Mississippi's second annual Mississippi Growth Forum on Saturday, August 26th in Ridgeland. Hear from nationally renowned speakers, visit with Mississippi’s leaders, and learn how to be more effective in promoting the policies of freedom in your community. Program will include:

Dr. Steve Perry

Dr. Steve Perry is one of the most sought after educators in America, consulting with a diverse array of individuals and groups in his passionate pursuit of quality education opportunities for all students.  Dr. Perry frequently speaks to audiences ranging from the American Legislative Council to the Urban League and has consulted with everyone from President Trump to Oprah.  He has been featured on Fox News, NBC, CNN and MSNBC, and recently completed his sixth book.  Dr. Perry brings a unique, energetic message that will challenge your thoughts on education in America.

Crossroad: Standing at the Intersection of Infrastructure & Taxes

For two years, the debate over the condition of Mississippi's roads and how we pay for our system has been heating up. We will cut through the propaganda with real information and real solutions in a panel discussion led by AFP State Director Russ Latino and featuring transportation analyst Baruch Feigenbaum, Reason Foundation, and Senator Michael Watson.

Unrigging the Economy

Tyler Houlton, AFP's Director of Federal Affairs, will discuss the importance of meaningful tax reform at the national level and how grassroots will be essential to its passage.

Prescription: Putting the Market Back Into Health Care

The Affordable Care Act has been anything but affordable for most working Americans.  Premiums have skyrocketed.  Congress seems unable or unwilling to fix the catastrophe.  What can states do?  Join Tyler Houlton, Rep. Robert Foster and Robert Barata, Capital Results, as they discuss market-based cures to health care woes.

Ensuring all Students Have Educational Opportunity in Mississippi

Our children represent our best hope at a prosperous future.  Matt Ladner, Charles Koch Institute, will lead a panel discussion featuring Sen. Gray Tollison, Education Committee Chairman, Rep. Brad Touchstone, and Empower Mississippi's Grant Callen on how we ensure all MS students have access to quality educational opportunities.
