Description

Join Mission Zero for another Veterans Night Out coming to Orlando for the Magic vs. Hawks game Sunday March 17, 2019!

Veterans Night Out aims to build a community of support that saves lives while providing an ongoing system of engagement through technology.

This is event is 100% FREE for a limited amount of VETERANS and depends on the ongoing support and donations from our network and yours!

Veterans Night Out is a community event designed to bring veterans and the resources they need together via an engaging activity both veterans and civilians can benefit from.

VNO events are the first step in addressing the 3 major concerns we know to be road blocks in the current system of veteran care.

First, veteran care is highly reactive. Veterans night out provides us with a platform to be proactive in our approach to helping veterans in the community. Second, veteran care is acute in nature and does not articulate the chronic issues veterans face on a daily basis.

All veteran participants will be offered the opportunity to participate in our "Battles" program which is a 3 phase process of assessing veterans risk for PTSD and suicidality, initiating a connection with those veterans who are considered high risk, and determining what components we can provide to assist them on the journey to decrease their overall risk of experiencing the negative attributes associated with PTSD and thoughts of suicide.

Finally, we know there is no shortage of veteran resources, the problem lies in getting the veteran and the resource connected and engaged with one another. Veterans Night Out bridges not only bridges gap between veterans in need and the resources available to them, it provides them with an opportunity to connect with other veterans in the community and restore the brotherhood/sisterhood often lost after transition.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS! A seperate ticket link provided BELOW for friends and families to join us at a discount. Your community support and donations make events like these possible. We encourage your support by spreading the word and bringing a battle.

*Veterans Night Out is a free event for veterans with honorable discharge status looking for an opportunity to connect with other veterans in their community. Our ability to do this event for free is sometimem limited to 30 veterans or less depending on the sponsor and donor support we receive. Our vision is to reconnect the brotherhood and sisterhood of our country's greatest heroes and defenders of freedom, and we hope by providing free transportation, free event access, food, drinks, and education on resources that may help those in need, we can bring together again, the over 200,000 men and women who transition from military service each year. We hope you will join us, this month and every month!
