Description

When you operate a nonprofit organization, you might feel like you’re out on an island - all the legal, insurance and financial hurdles can seem daunting. Even if you’ve been working in the nonprofit realm for years, the ever-changing landscape could leave you scratching your head.

Join us at a special program for nonprofit leaders on Thursday, October 3rd, and we'll help clear the way for you to pursue your passion of making a difference in the community. The program will be held at the Grand Theater in Wausau, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

You will hear from these local experts:

  • Melissa Kampmann, CFP, and Amy Ebeling, attorneys at Ruder Ware will cover hot topics related to non-profit legal issues, and problems encountered by tax-exempt organizations. Learn about common issues, and how to handle them, if you find yourself in trouble.
  • Sue Nelson, Karla Lodholz, and Jean Tehan from the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin will take a look at three areas of development that are important for any nonprofit organization's financial stability: 1) Building Donor Relationships (from the annual appeal, to legacy gifts), 2) Conducting Successful Special Events, and 3) Grant Management
  • TJ Fecteau, Tyler Krombholz, and Emily Cummins from Church Mutual Insurance Company will educate you on trending topics in insurance coverage and risk control for nonprofit organizations, helping you to keep your people and property safe.

The event is free and lunch will be provided. Registration is required, as space is limited. We look forward to seeing you!
