Description
This psycho-educational and experiential presentation provides an understanding of barriers to family counseling as well as an overview of play therapy activities for overcoming the challenges of working with adolescents in family counseling. Age appropriate play therapy activities and techniques to effectively engage teens in the counseling process will be introduced, and relevant research will be used to educate mental health professionals on how to more effectively engage teens, apply play therapy techniques and better serve families.
