Mission Mars: The Lost Colony
Event Information
About this event
The Department of Planetary Colonization has recruited you for a top secret space mission on Mars. After a long bumpy flight, you and your new coworkers arrive on Mars. You’re enjoying your life as one of the first in the new colony until you hear a concerning message over the intercom.
It’s Houston. Something went wrong… very wrong. And you can’t return to Earth until you fix it.
It is now up to you and your coworkers to combine your knowledge and skills to restore order and save the colony.
Join us on October 19 from 10am to 3pm. This event is geared towards students in grades 5-8 in Howard County and surrounding counties. This is a free event, but pre-registration is required. Lunch will be provided. Register here by October 12. The first 12 student who apply will be placed on a team.
We will be using Sphero SPRK+ and Sphero Mini robotic toys, which are app enabled robotic balls that you can control with basic coding. No prior coding experience is necessary! We will provide the Sphero toys, but ask that you bring a mobile device.
If you have any questions, feel free to email events@redarchsolutions.com.
