Glacier National Park or Bob Marshall Wilderness

About this Event

Glacier National Park is among the most beautiful and wild parks this country has to offer…and we take full advantage.

We enter the park via canoe, paddling the length of a 7-mile glacial lake surrounded by mountain peaks that form the US/Canada border to our north.

After a few days exploring the uppermost Glacier terrain, we'll return to Basecamp 160 -- 160 acres of pristine Montana woodland, complete with 5 fishable lakes, wall tents and one big fire pit.

Basecamp 160 is just west of Glacier National Park and is 40 miles south of the Canadian border, with nothing but national forest between 160’s northern edge and Canada.

This will serve as our staging site for the remainder of the trip, which will include a full day float on the Middle Fork of the Flathead chasing cutthroat trout and a summit attempt on one of several Glacier peaks…Mount Reynolds, Oberlin Peak, Bishops Cap, etc.

Visiting Glacier is dependent on many factors. Trip leaders may determine that a better option would be to trek into the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, over 1.2 million acres of true Montana wild.
