Event description

Description

The Blacks & Africans at Microsoft New England Research & Development invite you to Minority Student Day, an event that celebrates minorities working in technology and explores the diverse set of paths and opportunities Microsoft has to offer you. You will hear about the academic and professional journeys of black professionals at Microsoft, featuring:

  • Shawndra Hill, Senior Researcher, Microsoft Research NY

  • Parry Husbands, Principal Architect, DG Studio

  • Nana Yaa Fordjour, Software Engineer, Docs

  • Lester Mackey, Researcher, Microsoft Research NE

  • Ele Ocholi, Program Manager II, Enterprise Client & Mobility

Additionally you'll have the opportunity to meet a wide range of Microsoft professionals and ask them about roles, pursuing advanced degrees, or even how to prepare for an interview. We'll answer your questions and help you build a plan toward your career goals.

At the end of the event, we'll provide dinner as you continue to network with Microsoft professionals and students from various New England schools. We'll also be raffling off a Surface Pro 3 and lots of Microsoft swag. Every attendee will also receive a custom inscribed business card holder!

Registration has been extended to Tuesday, March 21st. Space is limited, so RSVP to lock in your spot today!
