Minnesota's technology industry is heating up and the startup community is building momentum!


Come celebrate all our tenacious tech entrepreneurs, Project Skyway's five graduating companies, and the culmination of TECHdotMN TV season 1.


The Minnesota Tech Entrepreneurs Rally is held on Wednesday, October 26th, 6:30pm at CoCo in Minneapolis; registration is capped at the first 200. Five local tech entrepreneurs will be sharing stories and reasons for starting -- and staying -- in Minnesota during their respective growth phases . First round of drinks on Fredrickson & Byron / Kevin Spreng.

Sixteen years ago this past summer — while at a Macworld conference in San Francisco — Andrew Eklund founded Ciceron. It was pre-bubble, pre-Google, pre-online video, pre-spam, pre-broadband. Definitely Twitter and Facebook. Let’s face it -- it was pre-everything with the exception of the Netscape browser. Put it this way: my competitors were print shops saying, “Do you want a web site with that print order?”

  Justin Kaufenberg TST MediaJustin Kaufenberg is CEO of TST Media, which he co-founded in 2005. The company has created the NGIN platform, a cloud based software solution for amateur sports organizations, and has closed on two rounds of financing. NGIN (pronounced "Engine") is a robust suite of easy-to-use, timesaving tools that empower organizations and their members to connect online. The company has 60 employees in their Minneapolis office.  

Jim Wolford Atomic DataAs CEO and Owner of Atomic Data, Jim Wolford is responsible for providing the leadership necessary to position Atomic Data at the forefront of the data center industry. As the industry evolved and client needs outgrew consumer solutions, Jim realized that a more boutique methodology was needed. Atomic Data has data center locations in Minneapolis MN, Edina MN, Mankato MN, Phoenix AZ, Atlanta GA, Hong Kong P.R.C., and Madrid Spain. In addition to Atomic Data, Jim owns two other businesses -- The Foundation and U4EA.

  Robert Weber W3iRob Weber is co-founder of W3i, a leading distributor of consumer applications. Rob is a private angel investor in a number of music, game, video, social media, mobile application start-ups. Rob shares his passion for apps, Internet marketing and entrepreneurship by serving on the board of advisors for Minne*, the 3,000+ member community of Minnesota tech enthusiasts, as well as through his monthly “app marketing” column for top digital media blog ClickZ.

  Lief Larson WorkfaceLief Larson is the founder of Workface Inc., a Minneapolis-based software company.
