Minnesota Homestead 101 Camp, week 2
Mon, Jun 12, 2017, 9:00 AM – Thu, Jun 15, 2017, 1:30 PM CDT
Historic Cahill School and the Edina Horticultural Society have teamed up to create a curriculum geared towards children experiencing life on a 19th Century Minnesota Homestead. Children will garden, learn about local critters, make butter like a pioneer, dance and sing, sew a nine-patch quilt, and try other pioneer handicrafts. Washboard laundry is part of the week as are other homestead chores. Each week the Schoolmistresses will introduce a new skills and activities. Come for just one week, or come for all three.
Designed for children who have completed kindergarten through age 12.
Parents: please bring a snack and water for your camper
