Event description
Come and discuss City of Minneapolis affordable housing programs and access. What does Community Housing Policy look like?

About this Event

What: Information and community feedback meeting on the affordable housing programs and policy at the City of Minneapolis and the ways in which they can meet community needs.

Who: The information will be presented by Minneapolis Homes staff of the Housing Policy and Development team at the City of Minneapolis CPED and consultants from Grounded Solutions Network. There will be open discussion by community.

Why: The City of Minneapolis is deliberately involving community in the development of policy and programs that produce affordable and accessible housing units and eliminate disparities in the City of Minneapolis. There are two main questions posed:

1. Is it more important to produce new units of housing or to create permanent affordability in communities?

2. Is it more important to facilitate swift development of City land or to leverage City property to achieve multiple City goals?

Where: Glover Sudduth Center - Minneapolis Urban League - Laura Scott Williams Room (2100 Plymouth Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55411)
