Event description

Description

Employers of all sizes in the Minneapolis area are cordially invited to help inform the future of Career and Technical Education program offerings at Minneapolis Public Schools and Minneapolis College. The Minneapolis CTE Consortium is hosting a series of employer workshop sessions facilitated by RealTime Talent to understand local employers' workforce needs. These workshops will ensure that the programs of study, industry credentials, and core skills provided in Minneapolis Public Schools and Minneapolis College prepare the workforce of tomorrow for high-skill, high-wage, high-demand careers.

This session, held on October 10th from 4:00-6:30PM, is open to all employers in Minneapolis and the immediate surrounding area that have a vested interest in informing educational and program offerings in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Administration, Management, or Artistic fields. The agenda will include:

  • A large group session highlighting local labor market needs and current Programs of Study offered in Minneapolis
  • Breakout sessions by critical career pathway where employers share current and future workforce needs, in-demand industry skills and credentials, and recommendations for relevant educational programming
  • An opportunity to explore engagement and leadership opportunities within secondary and post-secondary educational offerings in Minneapolis

We look forward to having you join us!

Park on the third floor of the ramp which leads directly to the third floor overpass. Follow the signs to arrive at the main breakout room in L3000. Other sessions later in the evening will be held in rooms K2700 and K2800.
