Event description

Description

How might your life be better with less? Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things examines the many flavors of minimalism by taking the audience inside the lives of minimalists from all walks of life—families, entrepreneurs, architects, artists, journalists, scientists, and even a former Wall Street broker—all of whom are striving to live a meaningful life with less.

Join us for a post-film discussion with Dr. Daniel S. Amick, the Associate Dean, Institute of Environmental Sustainability at Loyola University. Hear from Steve Ediger about living in an intentional community, and others who embody the principles of simplicity, improved community, and repurposing/reducing the downstream effects of high levels of consumerism. Light refreshments will be served. Older children and teens welcome.
