Looking for something to do with the kids this half term? Why not take them up a mountain? This is a child friendly (5 years and older) walk of around 5 miles. Starting at the top of the Snake Pass where there is ample parking we will follow the Pennine Way and take in some of the sights that makes Bleaklow so special including the remains of the United States airforce bomber "Over Exposed" which crashed near the top in 1946. Prices for parents is £5 and the kids come free (must accompanied).
The walk is led by a qualified Mountain Leader who also has a current DBS and first aid certificate and is a member of Glossop Mountain Rescue so you're in safe hands. Of course, the weather may be less than tropical so decent footwear and waterproofs are essential as is a packed lunch or snacks and drinks.
