Event description

Description

Every month, SLANT hosts a creative writing workshop for high school students. Workshops are led by a variety of established writers and explore ideas in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, screenwriting, and more. You can see more of our upcoming workshops at slantnashville.org. This August we're doing a:

Mini-Comics Workshop

Interested in comics? Learn how to make your own short comics and zines! Whether you’re a master illustrator or still working with stick figures, it’s easy to dive right in and discover what makes visual storytelling special.

SLANT workshops are intended for high school students. We meet in StudioNPL on the third floor of the Nashville Public Library. This is a free event open to students from any area, but workshop seating is limited, so please click to RSVP. If you sign up for an event and find that you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that someone else has the opportunity to participate. Contact joe@porchtn.org with questions.
