Description

2018 First Annual Benefit Event-Mingle by the Sea

Join us for an elegant, fun-filled evening with people making a difference in the community to celebrate inspirational businesses and entrepreneurs that are leading the way and making history in Seattle.

This year we are excited to shine the spotlight on a Seattle entrepreneur, Margie Haywood, proud woman of color business owner. We will be highlighting her business venture and commitment to social impact in her community.

The Featured Business

Work and Play Lounge, is set to be Seattle's first for profit coworking space with childcare options in Seattle. Coworking is a social gathering of a group of people who are still working independently, but who share values, and who are interested in the synergy that can happen from working with people who value working in the same place alongside each other. What makes this model of coworking unique is that it is designed with diversity and parents in mind. Their mission is "creating an inclusive community workspace that inspires people while they work hard to enjoy life! We are in a hurry to inspire and our brand is built on the idea that when we profit so do our communities." Their commitment to Social impact is "partnering with other organizations that are committed to strengthening marginalized communities and equipping future leaders through the lens of social justice by donating a portion of all profits back into the community." Your Evening Includes

Exclusive Seattle Aquarium access, a presentation from the featured business, a night of networking, drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

Your Social Impact

By purchasing tickets, donating and your presence at this event, you’ll be investing in this rising company, that will be creating history by being one of the only women of color owned coworking spaces, in not only Seattle, but nationally.

Proceeds from this year’s fundraiser will support the featured business venture with cost of tenant improvements and working capital to open the first locations in West Seattle in 2018.
