Mindfulness & Yoga for All - showing young people how to de-stress by doing it yourself

Discussion about Mindfulness: How it can reduce stress & enhance emotional wellbeing for all.

  • Five Myths of Mindfulness
  • Breath awareness techniques x 3
  • Mindful breathing meditation
BREAK
  • Mindfulness in daily life
  • Mindful eating
  • Mindful walking
  • Meditation in Action
  • Loving Kindness Meditation

LUNCH

  • Intro to Yoga for Mental Health
  • Mindfulness Yoga with guided Yoga Relaxation (suitable for complete beginners)
  • Group work learning how to share/teach some of the techniques, followed by a discussion and summary of the day, ending with any questions.

Monday 16th September 2019. Arrive at 0900 to register and get comfortable, for a prompt start at 09.30. Finish by 16.00 at latest.

The venue is a large sports hall so please bring layers to ensure you are warm enough. Please bring mats/pillows/blankets/for your own comfort when doing yoga/mindfulness activities.

This is a day you will leave having learned something and feeling calm/relaxed.
