This 2-day workshop will introduce participants to the Hakomi Method. Hakomi is a body-centered psychotherapy that integrates the dynamic use of mindfulness and somatics to facilitate healing on a core level. The body is viewed as a “map of the psyche” - a doorway into the unconscious beliefs and early experiences which shape our lives, relationships, and self-perceptions.
In this experiential workshop participants will learn:
* The guiding principles of Hakomi.
* Developing the skill of reading and contacting unconscious cues in another.
* Gaining a felt sense of awareness of personal core beliefs.
* An understanding of how to use mindfulness as a tool in working with clients.
It is designed for psychotherapists, counselors, healing arts practitioners, leadership professionals, expressive and creative arts facilitators, and students in these fields, as well as for people seeking to experience the Hakomi process.
