Mindfulness & Meditation will help you:
• Approach life with greater composure, understanding and enthusiasm
• Develop effective strategies to cope with short-term and long term stressors
• Improve your capacity to manage pain and reduce pain in many cases
• Enhance your ability to focus and concentrate
• Develop a greater sense of resilience by recovering more quickly from challenging events

This introductory session is a time to learn about the benefits of mindfulness-meditation and to participate in a guided meditation. You will have an opportunity to ask questions about mindfulness, meditation and the 4-week Mindfulness & Stress Reduction course.

The Mindfulness and Stress Reduction course is designed to give you the foundational tools to reduce stress and develop a mindfulness meditation practice.  This course provides many of the core components of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) without having to commit to an 8 week class.  

Course includes:

  • 4 weekly sessions (8 hours of instruction/guided practices)
  • All-Day Retreat 6 hours of instruction/guided practices) 
  • Weekly emails with home practices
  • MP3 Guided Meditations that are yours to keep
  • Additional support by phone, email or text to work with challenges

Mindfulness & Stress Reduction:

Cycle 1: April 23rd-May 14th 645p-845p: Retreat June 1st 10a-4p

The course is on a sliding scale:

Low Income: $150

Medium Income: $250

High Income: $350

Jude Johnson, MA, LMFT

Jude became interested in mindfulness while working in an alternative school with at-risk youth. There he developed a passion for mindfulness and meditation because of the positive transformations he experienced personally and observed in these youth. Since 2012, he has taught weekly mindfulness groups to adults in order to help people effectively discover a greater sense of ease and peace of mind. He has taught Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and provided mindfulness trainings to mental health professionals, schools, and businesses interested in improving well-being. Jude has completed extensive training on MBSR, attended a variety of professional mindfulness trainings, and participated in several silent retreats. Practicing mindfulness is an integral part of his daily life as this practice has been found to be personally nourishing and essential to teaching mindfulness in an authentic manner.
