Mindfulness Meditation & Yoga Class

The goal of mindfulness meditation is not directed toward trying to become someone different to what we already are. On the contrary, it helps us to become aware of what is already true in each individual moment. Becoming mindful teaches us how to be unconditionally present, in other words, to be present with whatever is happening, no matter what is happening.
The seated practice of mindfulness meditation provides us with the opportunity to become more present with ourselves just as we are. When we are really present with ourselves that presence shows us glimpses of our inner wisdom and teaches us how to stop dwelling in the unnecessary suffering that results from trying to escape the discomfort of living in the past, or in anticipation of the future. We learn to just be with what IS.

We will begin the class with a mini yoga sequence to stretch out and relax before we begin the meditation. Yoga mats provided!
