Mindfulness is purposefully bringing awareness to the present moment and paying attention to the full experience.

Get introduced to the recent movement of mindfulness (and tenets of neuroscience) in schools and its benefits for teachers and students, including social-emotional learning. Explore how mindfulness could cultivate holistic support for school communities with a focus on self-care and in-classroom strategies for teachers. Note: those who attend '101' will be eligible to attend Mindfulness 102!

**Featured Speaker**: April Frazier, former public school teacher, NYC Teaching Fellows lead instructor, and mindfulness consultant for NYC schools.
