The Mindfulness for Extraordinary Sales Performance course kicks off with this 2-hour live Master Class, and continues with an eight-week series of self-study lessons that teach science-based mindfulness, applied to strengthen the most important competencies for sales leaders and professionals.

The program also includes weekly coaching sessions - a daily email prompt and 5-minute morning exercise - a beautifully produced mobile app - and unlimited support.

Science-based Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a 2,500-year old practice that has been proven to quiet, calm and focus the mind, and so strengthen physical health, cognitive performance and emotional intelligence. When we practice mindfulness, we’re creating new neural pathways in the brain that establish positive habits and behaviors. Repetition strengthens the network, until the new behavior becomes our new normal.

Mindfulness is also a state of peak human performance, and has been adopted into the daily training regimen of the U.S. Olympics Team, the Navy Seals, and by the world’s top professional sports organizations and athletes.

Course Overview:

High-performing sales require mental strength, and a series of specific psychological, interpersonal, and social intelligence skills. It is a mental game, and the strength of an individual’s mindset, motivation, focus and resilience are actually more predictive of success than “functional” sales skills.

Neuroscience has proven that what were once considered intrinsic mental traits, are in fact, trainable skills - and that mindfulness is a neural process that strengthens them, as it changes the structure and function of the brain.

Mindfulness develops:

  • The self-awareness to project authenticity and establish trust.

  • The attention control to listen closely and respond strategically.

  • The intuition and empathy to discern subtle emotional cues.

  • The cognitive clarity to problem-solve, negotiate and persuade.

This course is designed for individuals and sales teams alike. It teaches mindfulness and emotional skills that help sales professionals bring their best game every day, and work in a state of high-energy flow.

Week 1 - Introduction to Science-based Mindfulness

Three decades of medical research have confirmed that the mind can physically change the brain and body - and mindfulness proves it. This class is a comprehensive introduction to the nature, science, hands-on practice, and application of modern mindfulness.

You will learn:

  • The context of modern mindfulness.

  • The basic neuroscience of mindfulness.

  • How to perform fundamental mindfulness practices and exercises.

Week 2 - An Achievement Mindset

We are exactly what we pay attention to, and how we pay attention to it. Mindfulness helps us sharply define our most important values, beliefs and objectives - and gives us the mental strength and will to pursue them. This class explores mindfulness as a catalyst for inspiration, motivation and initiative.

You will learn:

  • The neuroscience of mindset and determination.

  • How to align purpose, values and beliefs with high-performing behaviors.

  • Mindfulness practices that strengthen focus, attention control and mindset.

Week 3 - Increasing Self-Awareness and Self-Confidence

Self-awareness and self-confidence are critical to working successfully with prospects and clients. When we see ourselves more clearly, we are more open and creative, we build stronger relationships — and close more sales. This class explores practices for learning about ourselves, and how we “show up in the world”.

You will learn:

  • Why self-awareness is the most important business skill today.

  • How mindfulness clarifies our aversions, desires, motivations, and objectives.

  • Mindfulness practices that strengthen self-knowledge, self-awareness and self-confidence.

Week 4 - Increasing Authenticity and Trust

Authenticity inspires trust. It is the most direct and effective way to create a genuine human bond - instead of a smokescreen of sales techniques. Mindfulness strengthens this ability to connect honestly and openly with prospects.

You will learn:

  • The neuroscience and impact of vulnerability.

  • Mindful behaviors that inspire trust and credibility.

  • Mindfulness practices for calm, patience and self-acceptance.

Week 5 - Deep Listening and Intuition

Listening deeply and consciously, while paying close attention to aural tone, non-verbal cues and body language - are essential sales skills. This class introduces practices that strengthen our ability to listen closely, understand accurately, and respond strategically.

  • How to interpet non-verbal emotional cues.

Week 6 - Personal Connection and Rapport

Empathy is a visceral understanding of another’s emotions. It establishes a deeper connection, more intuitive understanding - and is the basis for creating rapport. This class shows how mindfulness strengthens our curiosity and interest in finding common ground with others.

  • Mindful behaviors that create trust and connection

  • Mindfulness practices that strengthen empathy and attunement.

Week 7 - Problem-Solving and Negotiation

Mindfulness strengthens cognitive and executive skills, including creativity, critical thinking and complex problem-solving. This class explores practices that sharpen our capabilities for finding the win-win.

You will learn:

  • The cognitive outcomes of mindfulness

  • How mindfulness results in divergent thinking and creativity

  • Mindfulness practices for open awareness and beginner's mind

Week 8 - Strategies for Mental Strength and Resilience

Selling can be frustrating and discouraging. But mindfulness increases energy, awareness and focus. It provides the agility and mental strength to cope with difficult situations, and bounce back from adversity. This class explores practices that build emotional stability, mental fitness and resilience.

You will learn:

  • The principles of elite performance.

  • How mindfulness connects us to the state of flow.

  • Mindfulness practices for mental toughness, grit and resilience.
