Mindfulness for Children Workshop (for ages 7-12)
Friday, April 14, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM (BST)
Scientific research shows that practice of mindfulness has particular benefits for young children in their primary school years when the brain’s limbic system – the one that controls emotion and behaviour – is still developing. Teaching mindfulness to children especially 7-12 years old will learn core life skills such as resilience, patience and self-awareness, which will assist them especially during their transition period from primary to secondary school.
This research-based mindfulness workshop for children will use the latest information about the brain to dramatically improve behaviour and learning. The mindfulness class offers easy strategies, and self-compassion exercises for a more focused attention, enhance their self-regulation skills, build resilience to stress and develop a positive mindset in school and life. Join us in our meditation centre in London and let your children have fun!
Mindfulness practice for children is supported by a number of scientific studies, providing a tonne of benefits. Felicia Huppert, Professor of Psychology of the University of Cambridge’s Well-Being Institute recommend it, too.
- Improve child’s self-control and self-regulation
- Bolster child’s enthusiasm for learning
- Increase child’s academic success
- Improve social skills such as empathy, compassion, and generosity
- Reduce peer to peer pressure and lower risks of mental illness
* recommended for 7-12 years old

When & Where
Mindful Presence aims to share the power of mindfulness and its best practices in every area of an individual’s life. Our holistic, evidence-based approach targets the emotional, intellectual, physical, mental and spiritual aspects to create a greater self-awareness, cultivate resilience from within; we teach each individual the value of mindfulness to achieve the fullness of their well-being through our workshops and engaging small groups collaborations.
Why Choose Mindful Presence?
Our platform’s competitive edge is that our workshops are segmented to each individual’s need to make it more purposeful and more meaningful. We don’t aim for quantity, we aim for “quality” results among our attendees. Our goal is to tap the untapped resilience, strength, creativity, joy, love, peace, and curiosity from within using an evidence-based approach; attendees discover their truest selves and become better at responding to critical circumstances and perform well at work, school, family, and community.
