Please join us for a free *holiday season* introduction to the 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program.

With wither and the holidays approaching, the end of the year can be a stressful time for us all. Fortunately, we can develop inner resources and tools to help us live more mindfully, and to better work with and appropriately respond to stress-inducing habits of our minds. Through these practices, we find that it is possible to live more peacefully, even in the midst of challenging or difficult life situations.

The MBSR program was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the UMass Medical Center in 1979. MBSR is the most replicated stress reduction program worldwide, taught in over 200 medical centers, and is backed by a growing body of research literature. Scientific studies have demonstrated numerous positive outcomes related to:

  • blood pressure, back pain, & sleep disorders
  • medical conditions, e.g., cancer & autoimmune disorders
  • anxiety, depression & mental health
  • eating disturbances & substance abuse recovery

Our free introductory session for this class will begin Monday December 4th, 7pm-9pm, followed by the 8-week program starting Dec 11!
