Description

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week program that uses meditation and movement to cultivate awareness and reduce stress. It is based on the practice of mindfulness, which is about being fully present to experience each moment.

MBSR can help people who are coping with medical problems, attention, stress, anxiety, and depression - or just help improve general well-being. Participants often report lasting decreases in both physical and psychological symptoms as they learn to better cope with chronic pain or stress. Participants also report experiencing improved confidence and self-efficacy, and better coping in stressful situations.
