Yoga and meditation strengthens the mind body connection, improves fitness, flexibility, strength, energy levels, concentration and general feeling of well-being.

Regular practice helps to rebalance the body and to come back to the ‘rest and digest’ mode (parasympathetic nervous system) where a lot of good things in the body happen! Things such as reducing stress and anxiety, improving the immune system, decreasing muscle tension, increasing blood flow which slows the heart rate, increasing serotonin production, improving sleep, achieving a deeper level of relaxation, building self-confidence ... and the list goes on!

Coty is offering lunchtime Mindful Being Classes to give you the opportunity to take some time out of your busy work day to begin to experience these benefits. The classes are open to anyone who is interested and don’t require any previous experience in yoga or meditation.

The classes incorporate a combination of -

- simple yoga / light stretching: to give your body a much needed stretch after sitting at a desk. The yoga is simple stretching that anyone can do in their work attire, so no need to bring a change of clothes!

- mindfulness & meditation: such as breathing techniques, visualisations and guided meditations. This is ideal for re-balancing the parasympathetic nervous system and relaxation.

As each class is limited to 20 people, please register via this link to attend the Tuesday sessions in the Lancaster Room.

Session times: 12-1pm or 1.15pm - 2.15pm on 4th and 11th July.
