Event description

Description

This is a Speaker Event on Friday evening followed by a two-day Mindfulness Retreat on Saturday and Sunday. Join us for Friday evening only or the whole weekend!

Bill Alexander will speak on the topic of "Mindfulness and Recovery; the Path of Love and Service" on Friday and delve deeper into the subject over the course of the weekend.

In this simple and uncomplicated time together, we will look deeply at what Dr. Bob said was the heart of recovery — love and service. What is it to love, without reservation or expectation? When is service born of love and when
is it just a servant of our narcissistic agendas? If, as Carl Jung told Bill W., the “craving for alcohol was the equivalent of the spiritual thirst of our being for wholeness,” then just what is this “wholeness” we seek? And how do we carry that message to others?

Bill Alexander is a writer and a teacher, with over 30 years in 12 step programs. His book, Ordinary Recovery, has been called a “recovery classic”.

FRIDAY - FREE

SATURDAY/SUNDAY - SUGGESTED DONATION* OF $50 AT THE EVENT
